Fresh Porcinis at Russo's NOW (11/16/2013)

Just scored these two. There were a few left, not as large, but quite nice.

  1. Ooh, my #1 favorite mushroom, thanks for letting us know! Can I ask how much those were? And if you've sliced them, did the cross-section of the stem and/or cap reveal no/few/lots of tiny tunnels (from larvae)?

    If anyone's there tomorrow (Sunday) and can confirm whether they still have any, that would be great, too,

      They were like $24/pound. Not bad, for porcinis. It's got to be more than a year since I last indulged... so I did. :)

      Slicing will happen tomorrow!
