There are no kosher restaurants anywhere in the area, but does anyone know whether there are kosher sandwiches or anything like that on sale somewhere?

Nope. I was working out there for a while in the past year and never found anything.

There is nothing in LIC. Closest place to eat would probably be Williamsburg, but that is only convinient if you have a car.
Also, if you have a car you can go to Acme in Greenpoint for fish fridays, where they sell their stuff wholesale to the public. Almost all their fish/lox/salads are kosher.

Yes- There is a Starbucks kiosk in the lobby of the Citi building, open to the public. In the refrigerated case, they have Fresko kosher (star-k) sandwiches delivered fresh each weekday. The selection varies each day, but may include different types of chicken wraps, turkey sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, salads, veggie wraps, etc. The best selection is in the morning.

Thank you. It's a bit of a walk, but it will be something to bear in mind. I notice that there's also a mincha minyan at 1:35 on the 36th floor.

If you're near the 7 train, it shouldn't be that long to hop in and out of Manhattan (getting off at Bryant Park or Times Square offer you several options.)
