Tokyo - Dominque Bouchet

I have heard that Paris chef Dominique Bouchet has opened up a restaurant in Tokyo. Have any Tokyo Chowhounders tried it? I have dined at the Paris location and it was spectacular. Mr. Bouchet, prior to striking out on his own, started at Robuchon, then went on to head La Tour D'argent when it had 3 Michelin stars. I'm curious if the Tokyo location is as good as the Paris restaurant, where it is located, and if it is indeed open.

  1. Looks like it is indeed open. Several buildings down the block from Sawada in Ginza.

    1. Went last night. It was fine. Esquisse, where I went the night before that, was outstanding.

Have you eaten at Allain Ducasse's Beige? If so, how does it compare with Esquisse and Bouchet?

      2. The restaurant gained a 2 stars in the 2014 Michelin Guide Edition

Drat, I just left Tokyo yesterday. Ah well, I'll try and book DB when I return. We chose L'Atelier Robuchon instead for our French treat. Unfortunately the quality was significantly less compared to the Las Vegas location, where I had one of the best meals of my life. Suffice it to say, we were disappointed, and would not return.
