Taco Bell Cinnabon Delights...

http://www.brandeating.com/2013/11/ne...

These do not appear to be available at Taco Bell in Canada. So could someone please go to Taco Bell in the US, try them, and come back here and tell me that they're really actually terrible like you'd expect a taco bell dessert to be and not at all as ridiculously good as they sound? Because I just got back from a trip to Buffalo, it's too soon to go again.

  1. I saw those advertised on the window of my local taco bell. Now that i get a description I must take the hit for you and try them soon. They sound delicious.

    1. As promised I went to TB today and had the cinnabon treats. You get four for one twenty nine. They were tasty but you had to be careful with the cream cheese filling. If you don't bite it where it was injected the molten goo comes squirting out on you. Otherwise it was cinnamony and creamy and plain good.

You clearly missed the part where you were supposed to come and tell me they were terrible! I didn't want to know they were good! ;)

        1. re: Jacquilynne

They were just plain awful. Awfully good. :-)

      2. I split some with the family and we all really liked them. So yummy! Ours had time to cool down while eating. I wish it came more than 4 to an order. :)

        1. Ohh my!! I know what I'll be getting now on my next drunk munchie Taco Bell run!

            Sara,
Providing you get drunk on that cinnamon liqueur with the gold flakes in it? I can't imagine anything Cinnabon following alcoholic drinks...

            1. re: Tripeler

Goldschlager you mean? Yeah, not a fan, but why no Cinnabon? I'm not one to discriminate with my drunk munchies.

              1. re: SaraAshley

When you go out the next morning to a driveway of sparkling vomit you exit the goldschlager fanclub. Fake cinnamon smell still makes me feel sick.

                1. re: suzigirl

Ahh, yeah, I suppose that would do the trick.

                    That is epic.

              2. Heading south for Thanksgiving Jac. I shall give them a whirl and tell you they were terrible.

You want I should bring back an order so you can see for yourself??

                1. Lol when I read the title of this thread I thought, "That sounds like something that is devilishly delicious, but alas, I bet they aren't available in Canada. I'll click to find out..."

Sigh. Wish I hadn't been right.

They will be. Not 'til next summer though. Just like Locos Tacos.

                  2. They are actually really good and they are not terrible and i would eat those from breakfast, lunch, and dinner

                    1. Okay, Jacq, ready?? Here goes.

Tried them, liked them very much, thought they could've been better and Mrs. Sippi agreed. She thought butter but then again, what wouldn't be better with butter.

Personally, I'll take the McD's Cinnamon Pull Aparts any day though. I loved those things. You just have to remember to eat them from the bottom up.

I don't think you should REALLY feel like you're missing out. And you know me, I'm not overly hard to please.
I also love cinnamon rolls, buns, babkas, etc.

                      1. Okay, I finally tried one of these the other day on one of my drunken Taco Bell visits, and when I say one, I mean literally one. Even when drunk I portion control. I would've forgotten all about them if it wasn't for the fact that one of the guys in our car ordered them. They were....pretty good I guess, but nothing close to the deliciousness of a real Cinnabon cinnamon roll, so in that respect, you aren't missing out much.

                          Sara,
I am curious about what you ended up getting drunk on? Spirits of some kind?

                          1. re: Tripeler

It's usually always just rum and diet. Every now and again mixed in with a bud light, and various shooters aren't uncommon either. This makes for a very delicious Taco Bell visit. :)

                            1. re: SaraAshley

You sound so sane with your drinking habits. It is hard to imagine you getting very drunk at all.
When I drink heavily, it is usually Belgian ale or very fine Sake. Which would totally ruin a Taco Bell visit. Cheers, Sara, and enjoy the holidays!

I have never had a cinnabon bun before so i have no point of reference. I would like to try a real one some day but i can't eat a whole one and cannot get anyone to share the gutbuster with me

                            1. re: suzigirl

Omg, you just have to break down and get one. Don't eat anything for the rest of the day if you have to, lol. I would say just have half and toss the rest, but I think that would be pretty hard to do. That's a lot of self discipline I do not possess. I actually only have one once every 3 years maybe. They have one in my local mall and the smell is so enticing when I walk by, but I refrain. You're right. It's a big calorie commitment. But come on, you have to try one at least once. :)

                              1. re: SaraAshley

Thanks, Sara. Now I'm going to sleep with Neil Young's 'Cinnamon Girl' ricocheting around in my head. ...:)

                                1. re: Veggo

Oh sure, anytime! That's what I'm here for. ;)

                                2. re: SaraAshley

I have to go to the airport to get one near me which is why I haven't had one. If it were in the mall, I'd be in trouble. Big trouble.

                                3. re: suzigirl

I haven't been to Cinnabon in a few years, but my best recollection is that they have a half-sized version. It's possible you can only buy those in boxes to go rather than warm and fresh in the store, though, I'm not sure.

                                  1. re: Jacquilynne

I could do a half portion. Lemme at the airport. :-)

                                    1. re: suzigirl

I just got back from the mall and took a very leisurely uninterrupted look at the Cinnabon offerings since the only girl working didn't look up from texting from her phone once to acknowledge me. :) All good though, as I really was just intending to browse. Anyways, I did see that they have the smaller rolls, as well as mini ones that come in a tray of 4 or 5, and then also what looks to be the exact same things Taco Bell is selling right now.

                              2. Everyone I know who has tried them is addicted. Besides me, that is. I've never been a cinnamon roll fan.

These are nothing like a cinnamon roll.

No they're not. More like a filled doughnut hole. A warm, wonderful doughnut hole.
