Favorite Counter Service spots

Hi Chowhounds!
I was just thinking about how much I love a good counter service restaurant.

When I'm in the mood for a no-fuss, good food outing I love the order-pay-sit-eat-leave routine of them!

Which places are your favorites? Off the top of my head: Ted & Honey in Cobble Hill (provided it's not packed) is great. So is Rosamunde in Williamsburg.

of course!!! haha. I guess I was just thinking of places with seating - but who needs it at Defonte's when you can stand at that back counter and admire all those different celebrity head shots on the wall?!

I have not been to the Brooklyn DeFonte's in a while. I thought they had a few tables. The Manhattan spot has a couple of tables.

hmmm....i don't recall the BK location having tables at any time I've been there. but perhaps they whip them out on occasion.
