5 nights in Miami. So far, have Tuyo and Michy, what else?

Tuyo will be our high end meal. We went there 2 years ago and loved it. And, our host, a native, is crazy about it, so that is non-negotiable. We'll be there during Art Basel and I am not fond of the 20 something SoBe scene especially during a really busy time. We are pretty adventurous. We're from Philly and eat out a lot locally and in NYC, so French or Italian is no big deal for us. What shouldn't we miss? We went to Juvia last year and aside from the view, we were underwhelmed. I think we went to Michy last year for brunch/lunch and it was really cute and quirky. So what else?

      Nemesis Bistro
      Barceloneta
      Pubbelly
      PB Steak
      Michaels Genuine

I could come up with more but you would have to be specific in what you want to spend. It seems like you want midpriced options.

Thanks for the suggestions. We generally consider reasonable, one or two appetizers, a cocktail and a glass of wine each or 1 cocktail and 1 bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 2 espresso, 1 large bottle of sparkling water, taxes and 20% tip at between $200 and $250 in total. I am assuming if that is doable in NYC or Philly, it is also, in Miami. That doesn't mean we want to spend that every night. Some nights we might eat less and some nights we might want something more neighborhoody, but interesting. BTW, I neglected to mention that we are not steakhouse fans.

You don't have to eat steak to enjoy PB Steak. Don't let the name turn you off.

I think you should try Joe's Stone Crabs if you have not done so already as well. The wait can be painful if you don't go very early but it is one of the rare institutions in Miami.

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink for dinner outdoors. Yardbird for a terrific brunch.
