Kinnaree in Horsham As Great as Ever Tony K is still making it happen

Eight of us shared a wonderful meal celebrating a milestone birthday at this outstanding French-Thai restaurant. Tony who has been in our area since the early 80s, starting his first location in Upper Darby at Alisa's Cafe, is still on his game.
Those who have been there know it is traditional and not Craig Laban cutting edge food, but it was absolutely perfect this past Thursday.
Eight diners, eight entrees (Cornish Hen, Rack of Lamb, Veal Chop, Ahi Tuna, Butterfish, Duck, Curries, Mussaman and Penang) were equally fantastic. The apps and salads and soups were all enjoyable.
Its BYOB, the prices are fair, even surprisingly low for such fine dining.
Room is small, not over the top decorated, one server works the entire room and Tony has maybe only one person back with him in the kitchen.
It is in an uninspired strip mall off Horsham road which keeps prices low.
If you have never been there and like Thai and traditional "Continental" food you must try Kinnaree. Reservations needed Saturdays. If you experienced his cooking before but lost track of him when he moved to Cherry Hill you must revisit.
Truly one of the best dining experiences with a friendly wallet menu.

  1. I loved the place that preceded it and when they suddenly up and left I felt a loss.
    I'm in.

    1. It's amazing what he's able to do in the kitchen essentially by himself. It will be a sad day when he retires.

        Very sad indeed.

Now that Nan is closed Tony stands out by himself.
