theGastronomist pop-up [Sebastopol, Sonoma County]

  • 4

One of my favorite local chefs, Joe Rueter of Green Grocer, has found a winter home for his farmers market cuisine. He popped up on Friday night at the dual personality Forchetta Bastoni in Sebastopol. I guess The Gastronomist makes for a third. :)

According to the announcement, he'll be returning this coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Let us know if you've tried it. I'd love to hear about what he can do in a real kitchen.

  1. Menu of sides, small plates, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert posted today. And apparently there's a tasting menu option.

    Menu says hours are 10am-10pm.

    1. Talked to Chef Joe at the Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market yesterday. The venue did not work well and this pop-up has been discontinued.

      1. Joe and his gang are going to be taking over the space at SnowBunny frozen yogurt in Healdsburg next week, December 16th.
They will have raw, fermented and cooked food there. Should be wonderful.

Wow, thanks, that's a great location for a pop-up, right on the Plaza.
