When you jump to a specific post in a thread, it initially highlights in yellow to draw your attention to that post, and then slowly fades to white. Is that what you're referring to?

      yes
but before that it comes up in plain type

I'm on Firefox and getting something similar. When the discussion pages first load they are in small plain type and then they jump to the usual format once the page loads. But it happens quickly and isn't really an issue.

I have noticed that also, on Firefox. Like you, I kind of ignore it, but it seems "clunky". I don't see this on other sites.

Here's a couple of screenshots showing what it looks like while loading then what you see once it's loaded.

Just saw something similarly odd--when first clicking on a thread, html coding message show with Firefox, since the release of Firefox 25.0. This is just for a moment, then the messages are shown normally.

I see it with Firefox & Safari (and IE, not that anyone cares). But not with Chrome.

Happening for me in Chrome as well. Not consistently, but probably 70% of the time. I thought at first that it was only when I opened a thread I hadn't read before, but that seems not to be the case. I'm not finding a common denominator for when it does and does not happen.

I use Chrome and it's happening-so I'm not sure why it's happening at all.

I'm also seeing it in Chrome now, but not as much. Safari is the worst.

A few of us mentioned this glitch/flash earlier in the week and DaveMP commented that the CH Team was aware of it. I'm still experiencing it.

Thanks everyone. We are aware of these issues and we're working on some improvements, though nothing has been released yet.

                    Thanks for your patience.
