2013 pecan crop - price increase expected

In short, this year's harvest is smaller than last, due to natural growth cycles in the trees, and bad weather in Georgia. The nuts are now in increasing demand abroad, so it is likely that a month from now, the retail price may increase by more than a dollar a pound.
