Tamale festival this weekend?

Anybody know anything about this? The website doesn't include any information about vendors.

This is the first thing I've heard about this event, but that has to be the worst advertising website I ever saw.

Half of the homepage links only refresh the homepage, etc.

No map. The only mention of the location is the address at the end of the blinking banner ad.

Apparently it's at 200 Jackson. Using my GoogleSkillz, I think that's a block north of the Astro torture chamber, (i.e. MinuteMaid).

General Admin tix are $10, but it also says that ticket sales have "ended".

While I doubt that and as much as I love tamales, "I'ma pass".

Agreed. I came across it in the Food Chronicles and they didn't seem to have any more information, either.

I think when I first came across it, only VIP ticket sales were closed.

Maybe it's been promoted in the Hispanic media.

      I'll pass, too.

Don't need to go. Stuffed on my St. John Fishers I got today.

OK. So I did a Google search on "St. John Fishers" and find it's a college in Rochester, NY.

But also, it's a church in Richmond, Texas.

This would have been good info for our tamale crawl as I had never heard of them.

        Thanks for the heads up.
