Seafood restaurant in Bangkok

BarbaraM48 Nov 3, 2013 12:33 PM

My favorite places in Bangkok used to be the seafood places where you picked your fish and they cooked it. I am going to about 10 days and I would like to know if there are any really good places near the Pen. Also, any other thoughts you might had nearby. I will travel for food ,of course, but a short train or cab ride would be good.

I really enjoyed Somboon Seafood (169,169/7-12 Surawong Rd.,Suriyawong, Bangrak, Bangkok) last year when I was in BKK. It is more Chinese than Thai but excellent... and make sure you have a reservation the line up is usually huge.

I have no clue if this is near the Pen, but it's worth the cab ride.

I think it is not too far so thank you.

There's a place not exactly seafood. They only do prawn, crab and mussels (no fish). It's street food (literally) but it's so good and near your hotel.

Here is the only English review I can find...try to go early (if you decided to go) after 6 pm, average wait time is 1 hr. http://deadlybunnychubbypenguin.blogs...
