Octopus @ Pizarro, Bermondsey St, London

A perfectly tender and succulent tentacle with lovely savoury bits of char. Over a paprika-potato sauce that is beautifully smooth, rich and smoky.

P.S. the Cap I Pota, stew of headcheese/brawn and chickpeas, is superb too. Liquid is rich and sticky, the meat rightly balanced between softness and chewiness, with all the fatty bits.
