Pasta alle vongole Roma

KMERC Nov 2, 2013 04:19 AM

Back home again after another super long work trip and I'm really jonesing for a pasta alle vongole (o bottarga or both). I had some disappointing fish meals before I left (even mamma angelina was not as good as before). Anyone have any recommendations ?

Sorry, but are you asking for a recipe? Or are you asking for restaurant advice? And if so, what city?

Nerone has wonderful spaghetti alle vongole. Don't know any place in Rome that has bottarga on a regular basis.

My favorite spaghetti alle vongole is out in Maccarese at Paradise Beach. They are open on weekends year round.
        via dei monti dell'aria 425.

Pierluigi's Spaghetti alle Vongole is one of my favorites.

And of course either La Gensola or Il Localino di Claudio, both of which also have bottarga sometimes.
