Peony Pavilion - Princeton Junction (formerly Sunny Garden / Hanami)

There is a sign that "Peony Pavilion" is coming to the former Sunny Garden location across from Market Fair. Anyone know anything about this place?

Heard that it is the same owner as Szechuan House in Hamilton.

Wow, they spent a lot of money on renovation. Hope the investment pays off.

From the looks of it, it is going to be pricey!

In one of those free Chinese magazine i picked up from Asian Food market this weekend, this place is going to start serving dim sum on 1/25 which is the past weekend.

Checked out the website and this place definitely looks different. The prices on the menu are kind of high and looks gimmicky... not sure how much they will charge for the dim sum.

Hmmm. I will have to check out their dim sum.

We went there for lunch on a Friday in shortly after they opened. I had the box lunch. Definitely pricier than other places, but apparently they use organic chicken

Are the food any good? Is it better than a lunch box from a typical japanese place?

I can't say that it is any better, but as someone who buys organic meats, I know that the price for organic meats is about 3x-4x more than for non-organic meat. Whether this is important is up to the individual.

The salad had the nicer quality lettuce not the iceberg stuff you get at most Japanese restaurants.

They are definitely going for the more higher quality ingredients.

I did not have sashimi or sushi so I cannot comment on the freshness of the fish.
