I always went to Amphora's but Herndon is quite small. If you've got a car, there are more possibilities. How much do you want to spend?

What is a moderate amount? My moderate amount might be vastly different than yours... How far are you willing to drive?

moderate $15 to 20 per person willing to drive any distance for a really good meal

If it's nice outside, you can dine al fresco at Cafe Montmartre at Lake Anne in Reston. They tend to put on a nice brunch.

Amphora for more traditional fare. Virginia Kitchen for down home cooking. Avoid the Reston Clyde's - service is appalling.

I have not tried it yet but Paolo's has an interesting bruch deal with small plates.. for a little more upscale Tavern 64.
