savory spritz cookies

I am experimenting with a cookie press, and am looking for some good savory spritz cookies. I found a recipe for parmesan rosemary cookies, but that's about it. I'd love something with blue cheese and pecans, and something with bacon!

Any suggestions?

  1. I was just going to suggest blue cheese, bacon, spinach.

    How about sour cream/mushroom/thyme?

    1. If you use this base cracker dough by Wilton you can make any number of add in substitutions

and, most of the recipes listed here can be run through a Sprtiz gun.

        1. I don't have a cookie press but I make make savory cookies and savory mini muffins. I like them with wine :)
I freeze them, then can thaw and even top with a slice of salmon, olive or slice of cheese for a quick app.

Some of my better, not too wild, flavor combos are:

          Blue cheese and fresh parsley
          Blue cheese and fig
          Rosemary and hazelnut
          Almond and fig
          Parmesan and pesto
          Goat cheese and herbs
          Corn and sundried tomato
........add bacon to any of them, can't go wrong there;)

          1. Thanks, everyone. I also will try a recipe for cheese straws I found in a book by Julia Reed which I think can be adapted to various cheeses.

Have you tried any savoury spritz cookies yet? I am thinking of getting one as well but want to make sure I will use it. I have made the logs but I don't like the looks of them so am hoping for something more foolproof.
