A shout-out to new Bay Area foodie venture "Simmr"

soupçon Oct 30, 2013 08:38 AM

30 of us had a chance to meet Turtle Tower's Chef Stephen Pham and his restaurant family, tour his kitchen and customize a bowl of pho to our own tastes last night, thanks to an event organized by Simmr, a recent startup by foodies Neeharika Bhartiya and Wendy Lin.

I have no connection to Simmr and do not know any of its principals, but feel it's a good resource to be aware of.

Simmr organizes "insider" tours and classes at popular local eating and drinking establishments. Previous events have been hosted by Onigilly and Tava Indian Kitchen, and future venues include:

Capo's
Antologia Vinoteca
Campton Place
Radio Africa Kitchen
Contraband Coffee
Hillside Supper Club
Isa
The American Grilled Cheese KItchen
Collective Green
Eji's Ethopian Kitchen
Trick Dog

I checked out the site and it looks like a fascinating new addition to the local food scene. Thanks for telling us about it!
