Arizmendi, Day of the Dead Bread will be available October 31st, November 1st and 2nd, 9th Avenue. How about East Bay branches and Mi Tierra or Casa Latina? I'll hit Nabolom tomorrow.
Day of Dead Festival Berkeley but no mention of food.

I'm a little leary of the science project.

  1. Got the pan de muerto at the Berkeley Mi Tierra today, thought it was as good as ever (better than last year, actually, when it was kind of dry). Very soft and rich. $1.99 each for the smaller size.

They were using pink granulated sugar on top, which might not be everyone's style but didn't affect the taste.

    1. I was just at Los Mexicanos in Fruitvale, and they had it (didn't buy any though). I also saw a selection of sugar skulls by the counter at Huarache Azteca.
