Truck By Truckwest

This looks interesting. Starting at 5PM today, badge holders ($20 to $30) will be able to sample from 65 different food trucks around town. The sampling continues for six days by just showing your badge. At the end you can vote for your favorite trailer.

It all sounds kinda fun.

I have my badge and am taking tomorrow off. Unfortunately, several of the trailers I've wanted to try (mostly on CoCo, So La and Rainey) open too late or are night-time only.

After tomorrow afternoon, I won't need mine anymore. I hope I don't get rained out tomorrow, or I'll have wasted the $.

I had issues that came up and kept me from participating. How did it go? Did you find anything you thought was really good?

May hit a few more tomorrow, but it was really hit and miss. Several trailers said they'd be open or offering free smaller portions, only to not be open or do the "bait and switch," which was REALLY stupid imho.

I'll do a complete soon with pics, but so far highlights are LA BBQ, Tommy Want Wingy and Icecream Social.

Lows are Llamas for long wait for really terrible food and several others for false advertising.

Didn't miss much. Saturday was a complete hot mess. Many trailers closed or out of food. If I hadn't been able to take Wednesday off an do most of the trailers then, I would have felt ripped off.
