Bar with craft beer/microbrews near Peter Luger in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Looking for a quality beer bar with a solid selection of craft beers (preferably some on tap) within a 5 minute walk of Peter Luger Steak House in Williamsburg. Ideally this place would be an actual bar/pub/lounge that my friends and I could hang out at before or after dinner rather than a bar within a proper restaurant.

FYI I'm a big fan of Spuyten Duyvil, but unfortunately that's considered "too far" for my dinner companions, who are extremely lazy and don't want to venture more than a 5 minute walk from the restaurant.

Thanks in advance.

Dram isn't much for beer.....Banter Bar on Havemeyer or Rosamunde on Bedford.....Bia 67 has a decent selection as well. That is close to PL's. It's a restaurant/bar but is a fun place just to hang out and drink.

        Thanks for the recommendations, guys.

I just googled Banter, and it appears to be a perfect match. The only slight negative is that it isn't that much closer than Spuyten Duyvil, so hopefully I can convince my friends to go there.

By the way, any thoughts on South 4th Bar & Cafe? It's pretty close to the restaurant and might make a good backup option. Seems like they have a decent beer selection, although not nearly as extensive as Banter or Spuyten Duyvil.

ah, haven't been to S4th before. Not really an impressive list....I mean Spuyten has hardly any craft beers (or any beers) on draft. You go there to drop cash on Belgian bottles.

I've only been to South 4th a few times, but I really like it. Friendly staff, stiff pours of bourbon, plenty of room (but not creepily empty)...can't comment on the beer situation, though.

If you really mean 5 minutes, I think Gordon Bennett's your best bet. Decent selection of the usual suspects on tap, i.e. probably nothing you haven't had before. But probably the best option for a pint within a few blocks. Not sure how up to date this is, but: http://www.beermenus.com/places/1392-...

DBA has a location on north 6th in Williamsburg a few minutes by car to Luger's which has free valet.
