Curious to hear some reviews - decent location and it does not sound as if the new 'Mexican' joint at Yonge and Sheppard is worthy of a visit so this may be the next best thing.

I had terrible shrimp croquetas from them a couple of weeks ago. Can't say that I want to run to their restaurant, though to be fair, I haven't tried their other offerings. I think they won the people's choice award at AwesTRUCK, so they must be doing something right.

I was going to say they serve tacos, and have a slightly risque name. :)

        The name sucks--and the food?

Eaten at the truck a couple of times. Like most Food Truck offerings it was fine but nothing memorable.

Fidel Gastro is quite similar to them IMO. Lisa Marie is fine, but half the time the menu fails to live up to the exciting descriptions of the food. Would rather go to Oddseoul any day.

Went today for lunch and was I ever disappointed! The food was horrible! Probably the worst Mexican experience I've had in the city! I tried the chicken tinga and the grilled chicken tacos. Both were entirely flavourless, the chicken tinga being only slightly better than the grilled chicken. The toppings were bland and the guacamole...well let's just say that they should call it mashed avocado rather than guacamole. It was horrible!

I had heard so many great things about the truck, so I was really disappointed with my experience today.

Got takeout last night. Had a group deal coupon of some sort.

I had the fish tacos (beer battered fried mahi) and the GF had the grilled chicked tacos.

Pretty darn delcious. Great slaw on my tacos. Definitely better than the GF's chicken (but probably way less good for you.

Not a soul in the place at about 7PM.

If you want to check it out, BuyTopia is doing a promo for Gourmet Gringos right now - $15 for 2 $15 vouchers to spend at Gourmet Gringos. You can't use them both at the same time obviously.

You can also catch them at the #FNLROM events this season for $6 a pop.
