Picholine for Solo Pre-Theater?

  • 3

A couple of questions....

1) I have a 5:00 reservation, will this give me enough time to do a tasting menu and make a 8:00 curtain?

2). Will I be okay wearing a jacket with nice jeans?

3) I only chose Picholine because of their cheese course, is it worth it?

4). Any other suggestions for better places? (price is really not a concern)

  1. Yes to the first three questions.

The only other comparable places in the area would be Jean-Georges and the Salon at Per Se. But if you want cheese the Picholine would be your best choice.

    1. Just had a terrific 8 course tasting menu dining solo at Picholine. Took about 2 1/2 hours, so if your reservation is at 5, you should be done in time for an 8:00 curtain. Are you going to Lincoln Center or Broadway?

Broadway. I suspect I'll do the 5 course menu.
