Hi there,

I will be in SD the first week of May. I can't wait as it's one of my favourite places in the world!!
Food-wise last time we ate at a lot of those informal fish places that do fish tacos and grilled fish plates, they don't exists in London and I love them.
We ate at Cowboy star, really amazing and had Breakfast at Snooze and Mission cafe most mornings. We had sushi at sushi ota which we loved.
This time I am over with my mum instead of my partner, and we will stay in SD for a few days before heading to Vegas via Palm Springs.
Any recommendation on where to eat that is not listed above? We like informal places unless there's somewhere that really needs to be experienced, was thinking of taking her to Coronado hotel for brunch, is it worth it?
Thanks in advance!!

Crown Room at the Hotel Del for brunch is lovely but pricey.
Across from the Del is Brigantine and Miguels...everyday happy hour at the Brig for fab fish tacos...then go over have a drink and walk around the hotel.
When heading to Palm Springs, take the 'Palms to Pines' highway.
Georges at the Cove in La Jolla, ocean terrace dining is great
