Filipino Food - Cherry Garden - Fremont

myst Oct 24, 2013 01:40 PM

Reading the "jumped the dining shark" post, made me think of this past weekend when I joined my filipino friends at Cherry Garden in Fremont.

Sometimes, a pile of pork in various forms will reawaken tired taste buds.

If you have never been, the Cherry Garden has every form of filipino breakfast baconsilong, tapsilog, longsilog, adobsilog, bangusilog etc etc.

My friends ordered the "Platter" a mountain of meats and grilled eggplant that was quite tasty and included lechon kawali, crispy pata, fried chicken + "unlimited rice" you could eat as much garlic fried rice or steamed rice as you wanted until you burst.

Check it out if you are in the area:

Cool, thanks for the report. Is it a full-fledged sit-down place, or more casual order-at-counter?

It's full fledged, sit-down, and also has a full Chinese/traditional Cantonese menu. On Saturday mornings go by and buy a homemade bag of fried chicken skin--a tasty indulgence!
