Good ramen in Bur-quitlam area ?

A friend from out of town is visiting, and staying in the Tri-Cities area. On Saturday I'd like to take him out for lunch after he does some morning shopping at IKEA. He's a ramen fan and is Japanese, so I want to see him have a good meal. Dunno if the Bur-Coq vicinity has any ramen restos and good ones at that.

Failing Plan A, maybe recs for some above-average Korean restos ?

Thx all.

  1. Fuji Sushi might work.

I use to go there all the time when I was a student at SFU.

Happy to see they survived the Evergreen Sky Train construction by moving to St. John's Street in Port Moody.

Insadong on North Road is my default Korean in that area.

Insadong it'll likely be. My taste buds always welcome some K-buzzing. Thanks Moyenchow !

good point - i'm looking fwd to Evergreen ... as it opens up a whole new world of exploration out (from Downtown POV) in an area that i'm not very familiar with - i know it's a few yrs yet. I hope it doesn't uproot too many small businesses in the meantime.

    2. hey - what's wrong with the meatballs at Ikea, in a big box store overlooking parking and endless Trans Canada 1 "freeway" construction / destruction / restruction ?

i just had to say that ; )

mind you, we do buy the scandanavian pkg cookies (Anna's - best price around town) in the hot dog stand ; )

        Stop horsing around, GS ;-)

Yup, IKEA's price on Anna's biscuits are indeed the lowest in town !
