Memphis Breakfast

Was wondering if there are any places that serve excellent biscuits, pancakes and/or waffles and French toast with real dairy butter and pure maple syrup? I'm getting kind of tired of finding good breakfast grub served with 'buttery spread' and imitation maple flavored syrup! Thanks!

  1. Alas, real butter and real maple syrup are very hard to find in restaurants in the South.

Yes, that is what I found in Memphis. After a week of breakfasts only one place served 'the real stuff' and the award goes to Brother Juniper's.

    2. Cannot testify about their butter and their syrup, but we had a great breakfast at Arcade. Biscuits and gravy for me; Sweet potato pancakes for my wife.

Right near the Civil Rights Museum, for a fabulous history lesson.

Yes, I had biscuits AND the sweet potato pancakes at Arcade. While very good, still wish that they served real butter and syrup!

      2. Well, late to the party, but you nailed it, Sel - - Brother Junipers. I've never eaten here for breakfast, but Stone Soup on Cooper strikes me as the kind of place that would offer that as well.
