  1. I'd check Tartine Bakery but I can't remember seeing it anywhere. Please reply if you find it somewhere.

I was planning on checking TB as well as b.patisserie.

    2. L'Ardoise and Ducroix have served it.

      1. Don't judge please but in a pinch TJ's has a fairly decent frozen one. It actually presents quite nice.

Do you know if they have this all year around? It would be a nice option off season.

        2. You could try to contact Phillipe from Patisserie Phillipe. He used to make pear frangipane and apple tart tatin so I imagine he could make pear tart tatin. You could also try the new owner of his restaurant, now called Bonjour Patisserie.

          1. La Bedaine on Solano in Albany does a beautiful version, but not every day, so call ahead.

LB has poached pear tart on the menu, and now that I think of it the version I am chasing/dreaming after is likely to be poached with star anise. Thanks.
