Butter Lane bakery- Does anyone have first hand experience?

I was going to use Butter Lane bakery for a cupcake order; wanted to hear from 'hounds that have tried their goods.

I get takeout from there now and then. Very good cupcakes. On the expensive side though. But then, I still go as a special treat. (And this is after losing interest in the majority of cupcake places.)

Buttercup bakery is the ultimate cupcake IMO. (Ps they deliver anywhere in the city too)
Butter lane has a nice buttercream frosting but the vanilla cupcake can be a bit dry- similar to cupcake cafe if you have tried those.

Heh, I had the opposite experience. Horribly dry cupcakes from the Buttercup on the UWS (now closed). You know something's wrong when nobody touches a huge box of cupcakes at a party.

Yikes! I have only ever been to the one on the east side, many times i see the owner (jennifer?) there- i buy cake slices most often but the cupcakes have always been solid too

Moist and soft cup cakes @ Butter Lane. I liked them a lot.

Salted caramel chocolate sticks out as being a good one. Our office used to get delivery from there and I've gotten them as a gift before as well.

Thanks everybody. I think Butter Lane looks like a good choice.

kathryn - the sea salt chocolate caught my eye right away
