  • 5

I've tried to call several of the Italian rest recommended on the board but having a tough time getting a reservation.

Any suggestions?

  1. When? What area of NYC? How many people? Which restaurants did you call?

      ALL very important questions.

We can't help without knowing your constraints & where you have already tried.

        What they said -
        Date(s)
        Preferred dining time(s)
What part of town you'll be in / prefer
        How many people dining

Also: price point? Is a place like Del Posto an option, are are we looking for something more midrange?

    2. Many of the Italian restaurants popular on this board book up 3-4 weeks in advance for dinner. Especially for weekends. For example, if you want to get into Babbo at a popular time (like Sat at 8pm), you MUST call at precisely 10am one month ahead of time to the numerical date.

Don't forget that the NYC marathon is coming up and runners will be carbo-loading on the Saturday beforehand (November 2nd).

When are you coming? Answering this question is crucial.

Do you still want something similar to Crispo and Lupa per your previous post [http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/919906] or are you open to other suggestions?

      1. You can usually get a last minute reservation at The Leopard at Des Artistes.
