I know it is early in the season, but wait with anticipation each year for those delectable specimens. Last year was able to buy them on Saturday, October 27th at Wegman's in Hunt Valley. (the date is memorable for me on account of a private note).

Has anyone seen them anywhere of late? I doubt that the local Baltimore City area grocery stores have them stocked. Last year--it was nearly a month later then Wegman's before the stores supplied them.

Looking for chestnut scouts. lol--FoiGras

  1. Just bought a bag at the 32nd St. Farmers Market past weekend. Locally sourced. They are on a smaller side, but tasted good oven roasted.

    1. Gorman Farm in Laurel has locally grown chestnuts

      1. I've purchased them in mid-Nov for the last few years from both Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Always in time for Thanksgiving dressing.

        1. H-Mart and Balduccis both have them now - The former has 2 sizes, regular and extra-large....

          1. I got some at DiPasquale's in Highlandtown last week.
