The demise of the Hilltop Steak House
I remember seeing this place being featured either on the Travel Channel or the Food Netwok. Surprised that it had lasted this long.
Sad. This was our family's 'occasion' restaurant in the 60's and early 70's. It was great fun. With good food. My sweetie and I ate there on a NE vacation in ... 1995? Or so. The Giuffridas still owned, and the food was still good.
Say it ain't so.That was our nice night out go-to place in the '80's as hungry, broke college students. How many could we pile into a (borrowed) car and a 6-person booth? How long could I stand the teasing for ordering my steak split and well-done? Fond memories. I'm gonna miss that cactus.
