  1. Going to Lyric tonight & Ocean House tomorrow. Ocean House will have their regular 3 for $30 menu, so it's not really restaurant week.

    1. Our meals at Lyric on Friday were outstanding. Chef Toby Hill was on his game. The restaurant was barely half full when we arrived just after 7:30. We both ordered off of the Restaurant Week Menu. My wife had the Mussels with kimchi jus and peanuts & I ordered the Baked Oysters for our appetizers and they were both excellent. The salad course was fine, but what can you say about salad? For the entrée course I had Duck Bolognese and DW ordered Cape Cod IPA Battered Flounder. Both dishes had multiple flavors that blended wonderfully. I could taste three different layers with each forkful. Chef Toby made the Concord Grape Crumble that I had for dessert, DW choosing Gelato. The B.W.Cohn Cab from Sonoma topped of a great meal. We will have to put Lyric back into the rotation. Ocean House on Saturday was fantastic, as usual. The place was packed at 5:15 when we arrived, but the wait at the bar was short. We were seated at a table in the bar right by the windows with that priceless view of the beach. Ordered Char Sui Pork Chop & the Pork Pappardelle off of the 3 for $30 menu. Excellent, as always. We frequent the Ocean House every few weeks in the spring and fall while they are open. We avoid July and August, unless we have reservations.

Nice report, thanks for posting. I've also had both the baked oysters and that duck bolognese gnocchi in the past, and I agree both were outstanding. I drive by frequently and the parking lot is always very sparse even in prime dining hours on the weekend. I can't understand why.

Had dinner Friday with the fam at Ocean House..stellar on all accounts (crab cakes, sliders, pork dumplings and other major taste treats)..the bar was JAMMED from 7:30-9. Had a Hangar B fix Sunday. The lemon curd spread on the homemade donut mixed with Chef's homemade jam was worth it all..LOVED my fish tacos.

Harvest Wine Bar has Tue. night wine tasting and huge discounts on food on Tue. and before 6, I believe. Ver has 3/30 I think all low season.

Heading up to P Town Sunday for food food and more food.....I am thinking Ross's Grill for lunch and perhaps a slice at Spiritus before heading back to mid Cape. Any dessert tips?
