quiet coffee place near Berkeley Northside?

I am meeting someone for work this week -- she's in her late 80s and she lives in north Berkeley. I haven't met her before and I'm drawing a blank as far as where to go that's close, fairly quiet, and with not-difficult parking. Suggestions?

I don't think there's any easy parking on Northside since it's near the UC campus. Not a cafe but Stuffed Inn is quiet but it's more a lunch/sandwich place.

If she's driving, have you considered, Gourmet Ghetto, Hopkins St or Solano Ave? There's a couple quiet cafes on Hopkins St. (one a block away from Monterey Market) and parking is usually easy, at least better than Northside.

what time of day? when the meters are operating it actually makes it less difficult to find parking than after 6pm.

How about a place like Saul's? Or if it's after lunch service, you could probably sit at a table at Liaison.

There is a quiet cafe at the corner of Oxford and Berkeley Way down the hill from Northside. Don't recall the name but a co-worker likes their soups. There is a city parking lot a couple of blocks away on the other side of Shattuck.

          It's called Yali's and is relatively low-key.

Cafe Roma, corner of Monterey and Hopkins.

Outdoor and indoor seating (outdoor much nicer), quiet, pleasant, not-difficult parking.
