Hello

Staying in Carmel the early week of Thanksgiving for our 5th Anniversary. It's been a few years since we've been back, but looking at some recommendations. If there is a Tasting Menu available, that might be fun.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I highly recommend A great duck & veal pate I had this past weekend at Portebello's in Carmel. Two generous slices accompanied A side salad, cornichons, Niscoise olives, a roasted fingerling potato, and of course toasted, buttered baguette. Perfect lunch fare paired with a glass of wine. They're 1/2 way down on the left side of Ocean Avenue.

Monterey- upscale dinner at adobe 1668
Best donuts ever at red's donuts on alvarado st, tiny dive that's been there forever
Please don't eat on the warf
      Pacific grove-
      Passionfish- great wine list too
The little red house- great lunch place
Toasties cafe and first awakenings are both great breakfast/brunch spots
For a very special celebration dinner please go to bernardus lodge in carmel valley and eat at Marinus(approx 15min drive from carmel), you can book the chef's table in the kitchen (!) and have a tasting menu with or without wine pairings, farm to table french influenced
