My husband and I will be making our first trip to Austin soon.
Where should we have two, weeknight dinners? We enjoy good food and good wine.

Jeffrey's and Castle Hill both have good food and good wine. Both have been in business for years. I've certainly never been disappointed at either one.

      I agree with Jim.

These are good dining experiences, great service and still has the Austin vibe.

My last two experiences with Vespaio have been poor service and okay food. Not worth the wait or the price.

Another fun place is Cafe Caprice on Lamar.

We finally made it to both Castle Hill and Cafe Caprice on another visit to Austin this past week. Both were warm, friendly places with delicious food and a good wine list. As we had three extra people with us this time, we were able to order lots of different appetizers and entrees. I would return to either place. Thanks for the recommendations.

Vespaio on S. Congress is always a good choice.
