Mount Everest India's Cuisine
A non-Chowhound friend who I don't necessarily trust in food matters, recommended this Northern Indian place on West Sahara near Valley View. I know that its lunch buffet is its most popular attraction. Any thumbs up or down?
We ate there for the first time 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night. Arrived at about 8:30 and the place was half full.
We enjoyed everything that we ordered - where appropriate spice level 5. (Deb doesn't like it any hotter.) It had a nice bite to it but I would have preferred 6-7.
We had some tandoori dishes, a green curry, and vegetable rice biryani. I was hoping for some tandoori lamb chops but they weren't on the menu. The service was pleasant, and we would definitely return.
I actually prefer Taj Palace in Henderson, nearer our home, but Deb thinks it's too expensive and wanted to look for another alternative.
So as comparatively new immigrants from San Francisco (2 years) we'll continue our Indian Food hunts to include other venues.
My suggestion, if you haven't already been, is Taj Palace on Eastern in Henderson,
