Cooking Magazines Complaint

Hello, anyone else out there frustrated by tiny, low-contrast captions/descriptions on photos in food magazines? Bon Appetit is one of the greatest offenders, but I see that Saveur has a few issues in their latest issue.

I think Bon Appetit has a rule that type on top of photos must be bout a a size 6 font and be no more than one shade away from the background color!

I sent Bon Appetit an email complaining about the tiny, fine, pastel print. Never got a reply.

Hm-mmm....maybe we should gather more replies here, then send the link to Bon App.

For such a professional and successful publication, it's always seemed like such a rookie mistake.

I don't get Bon Appetit, so can't comment on that. I do get Saveur, and haven't noticed any problems with captions.
