Daniel's Bistro reopened in Point Pleasant

  • 7

Good news! Almost a year after Hurricane Sandy hit, Daniel's Bistro has re-opened in Point Pleasant. Note that they are back in their original location, which prior to the hurricane was Daniel's Trattoria.

We enjoyed a great meal including the fois gras, escargot, osso bucco, lobster tails, italian cheesecake and bananas foster. We're glad they are back in town!

They are also going to be participating in Restaurant Week, which might be starting on November 8th. They said it would be three courses for $30. I'll check on that date and report back.

  1. Does this mean that the Avon location has closed or are there two restos?

They are keeping the Avon location open, and they (because I just called to find out) are actually going to be expanding that location soon.

And the dates for Restaurant Week are November 8th-17th.

Thanks for the great info! We finally tried the Avon location this summer and were VERY VERY impressed! I keep forgetting I want to go back, thanks for the reminder and restaurant week info much appreciated.

Avon will remain open and will be expanding!

      3. I ate there one time and my dinner was ruined by a scene between the hostess/manager? berating a waitress. Right there. In the middle of the restaurant. It was terribly uncomfortable and we told them why when we walked out. Then later I went on Yelp and read numerous complaints about the customer service there. Wish I read them before I went, as it ruined my anniversary meal. Anyway, I will never give them a dime. Hope your experience is better than mine.

We have always had a wonderful meal with no drama. We'll be returning!
