What's in a Fortune Cookie?

From the WSJ, in an article titled, "In Search of Fortunes" the author laments the decline of fortunes of the fortune in Fortune Cookies.

I'm speaking, of course, about the downward spiral in the quality of fortune-cookie fortunes in recent years. There was a time when you could crack open one of these treats over a tepid cup of green tea—after you'd wolfed down your spare ribs, egg roll and fourth moo shu pork pancake—and be confident that your fortune offered sage career advice, hope for your nonexistent love life or simple words of Confucian wisdom. Sometimes, all three in one fortune.
