Chinese Beef Roll?

Been craving this and haven't found a decent one in Seattle/Bellevue. Comparison point would be 101 Noodle Express in SGV. Tried the one at Facing East and thought it was just ok. I'm sure there is a more proper name for this dish, but I only know it by Chinese Beef Roll.

Here is a Jonathan Gold description - http://www.laweekly.com/2009-10-15/ea...

  1. Spiced in Bellevue has them, and they're usually pretty good.

And no, nothing here will be close to SGV quality. DTF is the closest.

    1. Haven't heard of it so googled some images.
It looks yummy so let us know if you find what you are looking for.

      1. I haven't found any in Seattle that I can't make better at home, but if you ever make the trip up to Vancouer, Peaceful does a delicious version~!

If you're making it at home, just braise a beef shank in soy sauce, water, rice wine, and a spice packet such as this one:

You can make or buy the bings (pancakes), and stuff with the thin-sliced beef, cilantro, green onion, cucumber, etc.
