RedFarm UWS

Has anyone been to the new location? Is this branch as good as the original?

    1. Had lunch there today. Beautiful design and much more comfortable than the downtown location. Great flavors and lots of whimsy on the plates. The mushroom spring rolls resembled those terrifying trees in the Wizard of Oz; crab and duck dumplings (with pink eyes), looked like exotic sting rays and a tea smoked chicken could have passed for Peking Duck. The restaurant was full, service was friendly and efficient, and Ed was making the rounds (beaming). At last, a destination restaurant on the UWS.

          I'm curious to hear how their entrees are. I've been disappointed every time I've ordered anything other than dim sum or appetizers from the menu.

            I agree that their appetizers are better than their entrees, at least in the original location downtown. Still worth a visit for the pastrami egg roll!

        2. I dropped in for lunch and enjoyed several appetizers including the pastrami egg roll, crispy duck and crab dumplings, five flavor chicken dumplings, and the bass and avocado tart.

          The quality seems to be the same or perhaps even better than the original location downtown. I do plan to return and try the larger plates.

            The pastrami egg roll, really is Katz's Pastrami.

              Wow! Quite the rave....and just a few blocks from home :-) Certainly will give it a go.
