Chicago bound Fri 11th & 12th

Hi all,
I'm flying in from San Francisco this weekend to meet up with 7 high school friends. None of us are from Chicago - we're in our early 40's from all over the US. Half men & half women. We're staying at the W on lakeshore. Any suggestions for a yummy dinner in the hood that won't break the bank? A fun fun bars are also welcomed as are breakfast & lunch recommendations. All cuisines are on the table - I'd say the criteria are location, availability and moderate price.
Coming from SF, I appreciate great food and ideally I'd like to dine at some spots that are indicative of Chicago.
Thanks so much for your help!
