Late to the thread, sorry.
Basically, Iron Horse Grill (with its superior location, its defter status mongering, and and its miserable and expensive food) kicked Haven's ass into the ground.
There's nowhere decent and walkable to eat before a film at Jacob Burns now, alas.
I remember the old days of Cafe Strega (progenitor to Haven) and I despair...

I always enjoyed the food at Iron Horse. In any event, the owner (Phil McGrath) sold the place, it's now owned by Andrew Economos, the guy who owns Palominos and a bunch of other restaurants (although interestingly I don't see his name listed on the restaurant group's website). Phil still owns the Seahorse Seafood Shack near Iron Horse. It's not fancy but we ate there a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. Here's an article about the open house they held a few weeks ago: http://www.theexaminernews.com/mcgrat...
Drat! We loved going there, and have done so more often in the past 6 months or so. Loved their vegan specials, even though I'm not a vegan. I hope for a soft landing, whereever he is headed! Here's what the website says:

Farewell Message from Chef/Owner
Since January 22, 2005, I have had the pleasure of owning Haven, (FKA) Frodos, and expressing my passion for food and service to a clientele that continues to inspire me to experiment and challenge myself as a Chef.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for your support of my vision.
With bittersweet sentiment Haven will serve its "last supper" on Sunday, September 15, 2013. The next culinary incarnation for me begins immediately thereafter.
Again, please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support over the years. I hope that I have given back to you the pleasure you have afforded me as a Chef and Owner.
It has been a great ride!!
Dan Petrilli, Chef/Owner
