Prepped apple use

MIss G Oct 4, 2013 09:07 PM

So I had apples that needed to be used so I chopped them up, sauteed, then froze them. They're ready to bake into a pie but I'd like to use them for a BBQ on Sunday in a dish that's easier to serve for 20 people or so. Bars? Cupcakes? Thanks in advance!

Apple cheddar gratin. Season apples as for pie, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, struesle topping

Apple upside down cake baked in a 9x13" pan (put parchment into the bottom before the apples). Serve with whipped cream or melted vanilla (or dulce de leche or maple walnut) ice cream as a sauce.

You could make apple cobbler. Put the apples in 9x13 pans. Top with 3or4 inch wide pastry strips placed crosswise. Bake.
