Spinasse Chefs Competing Tonight
For those who don't already know, Seattle is represented in the Top Chef New Orleans competition by our local twosome from Spinasse.
First episode airs tonight.
It was strange that I didn't see her introduced until well into the episode. Hence my post about being wrong.
She succeeded in advancing by serving up a dish of cold poached frogs' legs, something she said she'd never cooked before. I think it was the 2nd-highest-rated dish despite the seeming yuck factor. Emeril was beaming that she "got" the prep and knew it would play well with the NOLA guests who judged. The chef from Gallatoire's didn't fare so well...
