will you pay $70 pp for 7 courses of Burmese in Shaw?

Just wondering. I've been to Little Serow and Bangkok Golden III. I think I'll stick to BG III. I doubt I would ever go to Mandalay in Shaw if they are charging $70 pp when Myanmar is a couple of miles from my office.

Haven't tried Burmese food so I would wait for some reviews and comments to trickle in before thinking about going. It's going to have to be amazing reviews. I went back to Little Serow last week and they are still firing on all cylinders with different preparations of existing items and new dishes on the prix fixe compared to the last time I went which was about 4 months ago.

I don't think it's $70 per person. I read that as $70 for the seven course spread, no matter how many people are sharing.

Since the restaurant isn't open, this is all speculation. Assuming I'm right, would you go?

Confirmed that it is $70 pp for 7 courses. Their website is now live and taking reservations via CityEats. I'm very curious as to how they do.

I've discussed this with several sets of friends and we all agree that this business model can't possibly work. I would expect to see an "ordinary" menu eventually.

They're also planning for a la carte:

Is there any relations with Mandalay in SF?
