Prosecco Vineyards

DMcGPhotography Oct 1, 2013 06:18 AM

My fiance and I are getting married in Venice, we have a flat in Santa Croce and will be there for about 18 days.
We would like to go to some of the prosecco vineyards in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the hills north of Venice but we may have upwards of 9 people with us.

We are looking for recommendations of which vineyards to visit, and the simplest way to get there. We could/may rent a van and I'll drive, or if any here know of a few vineyards where a train/bus is a viable alternative, that would be helpful. All going are perfectly ambulatory, but some of those hills are quite steep and walking to a vineyard may not be the most sensible alternative.

We will be there at the middle and end of November
Thank you to anyone who can help

My dated copy of "The Italian Wine Guide" discusses the Prosecco route, which runs from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano.

Looks like most of the wineries are in & around Valdobbiadene.
Bisol, Salina, Franco Nino and Le Groppe are wineries in that area.

Wish I could be more helpful.

Here is someone who leads tours of Prosecco wineries:

Thanks David, I'm not as concerned about the wine tour itself, but hopefully this person will have information on how to get to the different locations
