High Line Soup Experiment - tickets on sale tomorrow at 4pm

i'm in no way associated with this event and even hesitate posting about it, but thought it best to share with my fellow hounds. looks like a seven dollar soup lunch and what should be a memorable afternoon. if there's interest, maybe we can arrange a meet up before, after, or during.

      I'm shocked at how quick it sold out. I got mine, but not without some struggle.

      2. Thanks again for the tix! This was a lot of fun! Very well organized event under the covered passage at 14th st. This was the third year of the event. They served a gorgeous five bean barley kale veggie soup that was very hearty, and wedges of sullivan st bakery ciabatta for dunking. There was a volunteer from the event who was eager to refill the soup (which was very hot when served too!) and came by to refresh the bread regularly. Each place setting also had an apple. All the produce was local and they passed out a card with the soup recipe too.

          So glad you enjoyed. Looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I'll definitely try to go next year.

            It was surprisingly good! Could have used a touch more acid but i think they skipped the wine in the broth- lots of beans that were from scratch yet held their shape.
            And you got it half right since there was barley!
