Anyone been to Apiary recently?

        SO's report (I forgot to tell him about no corkage Mondays):

        Had dinner for the first time at Apiary. What a really good restaurant! A friend I went there on a Monday night.

        Did not know you can BYOW and no corkage fee! The wine list was better then most in its league, good selection, fair (for NYC) pricing.

        The Tuscan Mushroom Soup was a hit. Not thick and heavy but very satisfying. The Hamachi Crudo was delicate and balanced.

        My friend had The Duck Breast, cooked perfect, tender and perfectly seasoned. I had an app and a side for dinner, Grilled Quail and Orzo "MAC" and Cheese. The quail was truly grilled, great finish on the outside with perfect seasonings. The orzo and cheese was really good and large enough to share.

        Warm chocolate cake for dessert and the end to a way above average meal.

        The staff from hostess, to waiter, to server, to busser were all professional.

        I'm going back.

      2. Was there under a year ago.... food pleased atmosphere was good too. Caution on Monday's, the $0 corkage night, it is a wine boys frat party.. fun if that is what you're after...
